Class Descriptions
A general description of our classes from Reformer levels to TRX to Rehab and Seniors classes.
* Pre-natal Pilates classes are available on request.
Reformer 1
This class instills the 5 basic principles of Pilates.
(Breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilization, and head and cervical spine placement).
Includes 15 min of stretch/release work, 10 min of mat pilates work each class plus 50mins of reformer work. Foot corrector will be included in workouts. Pacing is slow and demos are provided. Great for gaining confidence and learning how to stabilize the spine correctly.
Reformer 2
This class builds on Reformer 1 essential level exercises, pacing is medium with fewer demos. 15 min of stretch/release work, 10 mins of pilates mat work and 50 min of reformer work. Foot corrector is included in workouts. Concepts of Athletic conditioning and power work outs are introduced.
Reformer 3
This class builds on the reformer 2. Pacing is medium to fast. Intermediate level exercises are taught and mastered. 15 min of stretch/release work, 10 mins of pilates mat work and 50 mins of equipment use(varies each class). Equipment used can be one or two of the following: foot corrector, Reformer, jumpboard, stability chair, TRX
Reformer 4
This class builds on the reformer 3. Pacing is fast. Intermediate and advanced level exercises are taught and mastered. 15 min of stretch/release work, 10 mins of pilates mat work and 50 mins of equipment use (varies each class). Equipment used can be one or two of the following: foot corrector, Reformer, jumpboard, stability chair, TRX) Excellent flexibility and strength required.
Gentle Pilates for Seniors | Rehab
This class is 15 min of stretch/release work, 30 min of basic mat work and 30 min equipment work Excellent for rehab of the low back and shoulders. Mat work includes use of flexbands, Pilates balls, and fitness circles. This class is gentle but effective for Seniors or Rehab clients.
